About Michelai
I'm Michelai Graham, a California native who has been away from home since 2011. I studied at Michigan State University, earning my B.A. in journalism and my B.A. in media and information in 2016. While living in Washington, D.C., for six years, I earned my M.A. in journalism and public affairs with an emphasis on investigative reporting in 2018.
I have experience in investigative journalism and news writing across various topics, most notably technology, startups, business, cryptocurrency, and crime. After freelance reporting for AfroTech, Lifewire, The Plug, HubSpot, and a couple of other publications for a year, I rejoined the full-time workforce as a Web3 reporter at Boardroom in March 2022. Off the clock, you can find me producing my crime podcast, The Point of No Return, alongside my co-host Amanda Washington.
