Rest in Paradise, Vine.
It's the final countdown..kind of!
The rumors are true, Vine will be leaving the social media realm very soon. For now, Twitter states that the app is still fully functional until further notice. They plan to dissolve the app over time and Vine supporters are outraged! Okay in my opinion, I could never get into Vine because of the complicated structure of the app. I could navigate myself around it but never wanted to because it wasn't easy. Simple. Social media has to be quick and easy. The New York Times states that "Instagram ate it," but I beg to differ. Vine got bullied by both Snapchat and Instagram. They just came harder as far as interface, advertisement and especially user- friendly capabilities.
Vine is one of the top ten social media platforms on the planet according to their blog, so why is Twitter giving them the boot? Why not remodel and revamp like Instagram and Snapchat continuously do? Instagram is a veteran in the game and the oldest of the three apps. When Instagram launched video capabilities, I was shook, but when they dropped the ability to create a video story similar to Snapchat, I automatically knew that Vine was getting the boot sooner or later. Check out this article from The Atlantic that predicted Vine's departure and lend me your thoughts!
MOVING ALONG... HEY ALFRED ENOCH AND ALL OF MY FAVORITE PHOTOS OF HIM.
If you're a HTGAWM fan then you know who this is and you should also know he's British and specifically, his father is of the English (European) decent and his mother is of the Afro- Brazilian ancestry! How interesting is that? I found it intriguing right along with his British accent. There's not much I need to say; just gawk at these photos like I have been for the past 10...or 15 minutes. Enjoy. Yes, I know, you're welcome. Speaking of HTGAWM...
It's still show time
Forgive me, for I have been so caught up in Vampire Diaries that I have been neglecting my favorites on air right now but I'm working over time to catch up! As I write this blog right now, I'm tuned in to Rainy Mood + Asura and I hope you are familiar with Rainy Mood, especially around this time of the year! My favorite feel good and study music. Here's a short recap from the latest episodes this week:
Once Upon A Time: Aladdin and Jasmine have emerged and I'm happy about it! Even better? Aladdin is a savior too and maybe he can aide Emma in finding out their true purpose besides being just a savior. I'm excited to see Hook take a bigger role as well and I am so grateful they tamed that hair of his!
Quantico: The last three minutes of this show are always the most intense omg. The episode was good even though I can easily get confused in the correlation of certain situations and comparing the Farm to the present. Still don't know why Miranda is being a trader and I need answers soon! There has to be some type of explanation and S/O to the hacker for keying Shelby in on Miranda's motives, finally.
Conviction: I like how this show isn't afraid to be unorthodox. The cases and scenarios the writers choose to address are phenomenal. Not only did this episode address mental illness, but it addressed motherhood and how far parents will go to protect their children. Tess, Emily Kinney, is becoming my favorite! I love her timid but bold personality and not to mention, she looks way too young for this role! Which is a compliment since she's actually 31. Kinney has been playing younger roles her entire career.
Scream Queens: Didn't air this week which was surprising since it's Halloween time, hello! What was the motive behind this?
Designated Survivor: The episode was okay, but I wasn't that into it. You know when you think you're actually paying attention to a show but you keep having to rewind the same scene? That was me with this episode. I loved that they finally got a lead on the explosion and are rebuilding Congress. Even though I have to wait another two weeks for a new episode, I can sense some drama brewing and well, I like drama on TV!
Grey's Anatomy: I apologize but the OG is back. Grey's finally brought me to tears again, like the shooting in the hospital tears. So many great components in this episode that made me feel nostalgic of the old Grey's Anatomy. This show is still thriving and this episode proved exactly that! I'm beginning not to favor Jo and I swear, if her and DeLuca start a little fling, I will lose all respect for her. At least give Alex an explanation. Yes, caring too much can be overbearing and they may not be right for each other but Alex has always done what he thinks is right by Jo. Don't do this to me Shonda!
How To Get Away With Murder: So glad this show is getting it's spark back! Wes and Laurel honey...I knew it was coming sooner or later but the ultimate gag is, if Laurel is pregnant and on the show's clock we are three weeks away from the house burning down, who's the baby daddy? Wes? Frank? This should be good. I'm all the way tuned in!
Since I'm more in the swing of things, I'll be doing some special and themed blogs for the holiday season so be on the look out!
xoxo,
Mich.
