If I wasn't devastating, then I just would not be.
When I crossed into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. on April 5, 2014, I had no idea how much this organization would impact me. The milestones I have reached through this sisterhood are irreplaceable and unforgettable. I have memories that I will carry with me forever and I have women that have been so willing to let me pour as much knowledge into them as I can. This past weekend, my sorority was able to celebrate 22 illustrious founders and 104 years of sisterhood, scholarship and service! Each day I progress in this organization, I realize more and more that there is a cause out there that's calling my name. There's something always going to be greater than me and I need to pour into that through every avenue that I can. I was able to return to my home chapter and join in on the celebration by attending the Founders' Day Jabberwock titled: Rise Up. This program reminded me now more than ever, that we, as women and a black community, need to continue to uplift and motivate one another on the daily.
I want to keep this post short and simple so here's some of my favorite memories through my journey in Delta:
