Don't bother me, I'm watching TV.

I HAVE SUCCESSFULLY FOUND A SHOW TO WATCH EVERY NIGHT, SUNDAY- MONDAY. ADULTHOOD FEELS GOOD.

As I stated in my last post, Fall time= prime time! There's so much goodness on TV right now and it's only getting better with the return of Vampire Diaries in October and Teen Wolf in November. Both in there last seasons of production, so I know they will be top notch. But back to what's happening now. I have finally caught up on all my favorites and starting next week I'll be watching everything real time! I'm going to try to keep my recaps short, simple and sweet since most of my shows didn't air this week but bare with me.

SUNDAY

It's been a long time coming but I'm finally caught up on Once Upon a Time! First and foremost, RIP Robin Hood...I still cannot believe he sacrificed himself for Regina in the fight against Hades. I also found it interesting how quick Hades' "villainhood" played out. I didn't like him anyways. As far as the two latest episodes, I haven't been that impressed. The season started off quite slow. Now that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are split, The Dark One gave Mr. Hyde Storybrooke in exchange for the secret to releasing Belle from Pandora's Box. Kudos to Belle for leaving his sorry ass too, I'm so over Rumplestiltskin. This vision that Emma keeps having is interesting and I hope and pray it doesn't come true. The Savior can't die! I hope the season heats up this Sunday with the introduction of Aladdin! There's so much imagination left in this series, I see it lasting just as long or even longer than Grey's Anatomy. We can still look forward to Regina's character playing out, Henry growing up, Emma and her battle to stay alive.

OH MY GAWD. Just when you thought people couldn't get any more grimy, Quantico shows you that they clearly can. Can I just state how much more beautiful Alex Parrish gets each episode?! And her accent and voice is to die for. I wasn't too excited to see the structure of the season be the exact same as last season's BUT, I am impressed by the nature of the attack this time. Multiple explosions, everyone hostages in one building except Parrish and also the involvement of the CIA! But the biggest surprise of last episode: Miranda. I mean COME ON. Alex trusts her the absolute most and come to find out, she's notifying the terrorists that Parrish is in the building aiding the other team. I hope the next episode opens up with a good explanation as to why Miranda would rat Parrish out but I can't think of anything right now. Can we also discuss Parrish and Booth being engaged? Now the engagement is off?! What happened? Who cheated? I need more details stat. Stay tuned kids!

MONDAY

I was not expecting to like this show as much as I do but I'm obsessed! The Pilot episode for Conviction was amazing! I do wish they would have given us more of a backstory on the main character, Hayes Morrison, who is the daughter of a past president, and also a drug addict, but I know all of those details will come in time. This show didn't waste any time tackling race and the oppression of the black man. The plot line is stellar. A new task force in NYC, focused on turning over wrong convictions and setting innocent people free. Just after the first episode, the unit received tons of cases! I can already tell this show is going to be filled with drama. I support. I look forward to the next episode already! I also forgot to mention, kudos to Nic Angell, a connect I made in LA who had a hand in the creation of this!

TUESDAY

Another one of my shows that didn't air a new episode this week due to the VP debate but let's discuss last week! I find Dr. Brock's hand situation hilarious af and also the fact that its the hand of a deceased murderer makes it even better. Scream Queens is awesome. I was so excited to see Chanel #5 get her happy ending but of course the green monster killed him before she even got a kiss, so sad! Also, I find it funny how they are still running with this joke that she has teeth coming out of her genitals. Laugh. Out. Loud. CHAD IS BACK. He was arguably one of my favorite characters from the first season. Shout out to Dean Munsch for fighting off the green monster! Jamie Lee Curtis low key always comes through with the fight back! I was feeling some real Halloween/Michael Myer vibes again!

WEDNESDAY

I just went out on a limb and completely binge watched the first three episodes of this show and let me tell you, YASSS KEITH SUTHERLAND! I am here for ALL. OF IT. I love shows that spark my mental, especially when it comes to politics! Maybe I instantly fell in love with this show because I live in DC now and I have always dreamed of working on The Hill but still, what would life be like if literally everyone in the President's cabinet died except one person? Now that one person is the next president! I'm so ready for this show to get down and dirty with the politics! Who blew up the Capitol? How will Kirkman adjust? Might I say, Keith Sutherland has the best sad face. He is so easy to sympathize with and he should be proud of those acting capabilities. Even when he's happy, I have the urge to cry real tears. Anyways, this show was the last installment of my week of television and I am proud of this new addition!

THURSDAY

Things are heating up and I am so proud! The episode was good but the ending was like WOW. So here's where we're at with the house burning down and who's alive:

  • Annalise

  • Oliver

  • Bonnie

And there was another body found?! Dead or Alive? We don't know just yet. Who could be dead? I pray it's not Wes, I'm not ready for him to go. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Nate. Or if they introduce some new characters and it be them. I can say this structure did keep me on my toes. Kudos to this episode for addressing gender roles and white privilege. When Annalise slapped that client in the face I almost lost my mind like yes sis, let him know how ungrateful he was being! Not only did he KILL two women, he wanted no time for it. Defending the guilty has to be the hardest job in America.

How much more annoying and heartless can Meredith get? I'm so disappointed because I was so excited about her and Riggs in the beginning and she's ruining it for me! Avery is officially my favorite character and April is in second place. I'm so proud of Avery's humbleness and I'm secretly hoping him and April get back together. Also glad Arizona is back. Wait. Pause. Did anyone ever realize that Arizona and Cali are state names that are next to each other and they married each other also. Woah. Arizona yells at Alex...AGAIN. As if everyone else hasn't done that already. Next week's episode looks like Meredith and Riggs will get it on again...which is fine but why can't Meredith just be honest with Maggie? We're all adults here.

Indulge on this photo of me in front of the White House. I love this photo for so many reason. There's not a lick of make up on my face. That outfit was beyond comfortable. My glasses look stellar with my shaved head and I've felt more rejuvenated this natural than I ever have in my 23 years of life. So cheers to every one feeling this joy some day! If you aren't there yet, get there, because what are you waiting for Self- confidence is everything.

IN OTHER NEWS...

I'm so much more than TV, I swear! I just didn't have time to assess things like this in college. I spent the last few weeks catching up on my favorites and in light of Vampire Diaries embarking on its last season, I have restarted the series from the first episode of the first season...okay I completely lied, TV is my life. But my job hunt is getting a little easier, my skin is flourishing, I'm in love with my physical appearance more than ever and happiness and humbleness is becoming a part of my everyday process. Until next time folks, thank you for reading!

xoxo,

Mich.
